Let's celebrate the incredible students who were caught being a leader last week!
These students aren't just following rules—they're setting the standard. By consistently demonstrating the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens and living out our school's mission, they prove that every student has the power to inspire others.
Whether it was Synergizing to solve a tough problem, showing courage to Be Proactive, or simply putting First Things First, their commitment to excellence shines through.
We are so proud of the positive example these young leaders are setting for our entire school community! Keep up the great work!

Our students consistently impress us by going the extra mile to live out our school's mission statement and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens. We've seen incredible examples of them taking initiative, helping their classmates, and making our school a more positive and supportive environment for everyone.
We are so incredibly proud of their leadership and dedication.

They dove deep into topics like the reasons for the seasons, understanding carrying capacity, and the importance of habitat restoration. The highlight for many was the hands-on opportunity to touch various animal pelts and examine real skulls! What an amazing way to connect with wildlife science.

Don't forget, fall picture day is coming!
A friendly reminder that fall picture day is Tuesday, September 23rd! 📸
Get ready to capture some great smiles!

Our next early release day is coming up on Wednesday, September 24th.
Students will be dismissed at 1 p.m. that day. Please plan accordingly for transportation and after-school care.

We want to give a huge shout-out to the 156 students who were caught being a leader last week! These students went above and beyond, truly embodying our school's mission statement and the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens.

The GOOSE Award (Get Out of School Early) is a monthly honor given to a staff member who goes above and beyond. What makes this award so unique? The nominations come directly from our very own students!
It's clear our students think the world of Mrs. Bishop. Thank you for your dedication and hard work!

Let's give a huge round of applause to the winner of our August Staff Spotlight, Mr. Mike Petty!
Every morning, you can find Mr. Petty at the front doors, greeting students with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. He goes above and beyond to make sure every student feels seen and valued, creating a positive and welcoming start to their day.
But his impact doesn't stop there. Mr. Petty is always ready to lend a helping hand, whether it's assisting a student with their work or helping a colleague. He has a remarkable talent for building positive relationships with our students, making them feel supported and cared for.
Thank you, Mr. Petty, for your incredible dedication and for being such a bright spot in our school community! We are so lucky to have you!

A huge thank you to our amazing teacher volunteers who helped with yesterday’s Frozen Jr. audition workshop! We had such a great turnout, we can’t wait for this year's show!❄️🎶
🌟 A few reminders for parents:
Students will need to sign up for an audition time slot outside of Ms. Kiser’s door in the 6th-grade hallway.
Auditions will be held THIS Monday and Tuesday—it’s time to “let it go” and shine on stage!
Your student only needs to stay on the day of their audition and may be picked up out front afterwards.
The cast list will be posted on Wednesday morning on the Cafeteria Doors
Our first dry read will be on Thursday in Ms. Kiser’s Room until 5 pm.

Mrs. Callahan's students are sharpening their skills by using measuring tools, such as rulers, to make quantitative observations. Instead of just saying a book is "big," they're now measuring its length in centimeters or inches. They've been measuring all sorts of items from around the classroom and even the school!
This hands-on activity helps them understand the difference between quantitative (numerical) and qualitative (descriptive) observations, a core concept in science. It's awesome to see them apply these skills and get a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Stay tuned for more updates on what's happening in our classrooms! 🏫
