We're very excited about our field trip this Thursday. Parents, if you are going along with us, please don't forget that you'll need to arrange for your own lunch. We'll be taking school lunches with us (for those children who aren't bringing a sack lunch from home) but we won't have any extras. Hopefully, the rain will hold off for us!
We finally made it to March! Maybe we can avoid the bad weather from now on. March is a busy month for us …
March 9: Science Assembly
March 11: Field trip to Singletary Center
March 12: Spring pictures
March 18: Music program
March 24: Report cards go home
March 30: Parent/Teacher Conferences
Due to the number of snow days so far, the end of the 3rd Nine Week Grading Period is now March 19. Report cards will go home on March 24th.
Don't forget our field trip on March 11th. If you indicated on the permission form that your child will bring a packed lunch from home, please remember to send that in, since there will be no extra lunches on hand.
Please turn in field trip money as soon as possible. I know with all the snow days we have had that it's been difficult to keep up with that sort of thing, but in order to reserve our tickets, the money must be submitted.
Perhaps the weather will cooperate and we can get back to our normal routine soon!
With all of the school closings due to snow, we will be sending midterms home on Friday, February 12th. Field trip money is due also on Friday, February 12th.
The midterm of the third nine week grading period will end on Friday, February 5th. Midterm reports will be going home on Wednesday, February 10th. Parents, please review your child's report, sign it, and return it to school. Even though a section is reserved for parent comments, feel free to contact me at any time should questions or concerns arise.
Don't forget … we WILL have school on February 15th to make up a snow day.
Hopefully, our 100th day of school will be on February 3rd. Please be watching FISH Books for some information regarding our activities for that day.
We are also gearing up for Valentine's Day. Our party will be on the afternoon of February 12. More information regarding that day will be sent home soon.
We WILL be in school on President's Day, February 15th in order to make up a snow day.
The lunch menu has been changed around a bit, so please disregard the menu that was printed in the paper.
Monday: No School
Tuesday: Ham and Cheese or Beef Nachos
Wednesday: Hamburger or Chicken Pattie
Thursday: Pizza or Ham Wrap
Friday: Turkey or Pork BBQ
We celebrate the work and dedication of our School Board Members in the month of January. Many thanks to our School Board Members for all they do!
Happy New Year to all! This time of year gets somewhat uncertain. January and February are typically a bit snowy, so we may very well dismiss school early or not have school at all. If/when school is cancelled, please continue to work on the current study guide.
