Good Monday afternoon! I had a wonderful weekend and I hope everyone else did as well. My family and I went to the WinterJam concert. It was a fun experience. I know of a few students that went and said they had fun as well. This week's spelling words end in either ing or ong.

This week's Spelling Words: Group A - spring ding sing cling song long wrong king ring bring

English - We are talking about subject and predicate of a sentence.

Math - We are continuing to practice counting out correct change.

Reading - Reading Mastery Lessons and comprehension checks.

What beautiful weather we are having to start off the week! Cool Be sure to get outside and soak in some of this beautiful sunshine while it lasts.

This week:

Reading - Reading Mastery Stories and comprehension questions.

              FROG Learning Games for Reading

Math - Continuing to practice counting our change using pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters.

Language Arts - Using correct order and sequence in sentences.

Hello and welcome to March!!!!! Bye Hopefully, we are finished with the snow and we can get back on schedule.

This week:

Math - we are continuing to talk about money and money identification. Last week we talked in great detail about the penny, nickel, dime and quarter. Today we will be discussing the dollar bill. We will review all coins tomorrow and begin counting all change on Wednesday.

Reading - We are working on Reading Mastery lessons. We are working on word attack skills and comprehension.

Good morning! I hope everyone got a chance to get outside this past weekend. The weather was beautiful. Dare we hope for a full week of school this week? I am hopeful that our snow days are behind us.

We are still reading Amelia Bedelia Goes Camping. Hopefully we will be able to finish reading it this week.

Good Friday morning. Hopefully soon we will be able to have school a whole entire week. Laughing Today we will continue to read Amelia Bedilia Goes Camping. We will continue this into next week. We will continue to use last week's spelling words. Have a wonderful weekend!!

Good morning! I hope everyone enjoyed the snow days. Today many classes are celebrating Valentine's Day by doing many valentine activities.

In Reading, we are currently reading Amelia Bedlia Goes Camping. Today we read part of the story and practiced writing our vocabulary words with shaving cream. We will continue this story next week.

We will move this week's spelling words to next week.

In reading, we will be talking about sequencing and putting our story in the correct sequence.

In math, we are going to practice money skills and values. We will review the value of the coins and practice counting out change.

In Language Arts this week, we are learning to write friendly letters and thank you notes. We are learning about the parts of a friendly letter; date, greeting, body, closing.

In Math, we are working basic subtraction using a number line.

In Reading, we are continuing to work on basic reading skills and comprehension.

IN THE NEWS:

It was decided this week that we WILL be having school on Monday, February 15th. We were originally scheduled off this day for President's Day, but we are using it as a make-up day for snow days.

Hello and welcome back from our extended break of snow days! I hope you enjoyed your time off. This week we are working hard to catch up on work we have missed over the past week. This week we are working on reading comprehension. We are also creating some writing pieces. One writing piece we will be working on is titled Snow Day Rules.  Students get to list silly rules about snow days. Some of them are creative, so far. Have a great rest of the week.
