Book Character Style Show Details

On Friday, October 30 at 9:00am, Eastside Elementary will be having a Book Character Style Show.  Parents are more than welcome to join us for the show!  If you are interested in taking part in our style show, please carefully read the information below…

1.  Your style show costume must represent a character from a book.

2.  Judges will be awarding points for costume originality.  We do not intend for ANYONE to go out and purchase an entire book character costume.  We’d love for you to use items you already have at home or items you borrow from others instead of spending lots of money as you create your costume.

3.  You must turn in a completed entry form to Mrs. Hoskins by Wednesday, October 28 if you plan to participate.

4.  Along with your entry form, you must turn in a copy of a book containing the book character you have chosen to dress as.  This can be your personal copy or one checked out from a library.  (Make sure your name is on a post-it note on the inside of the front cover of the book so that it can be returned to you immediately following the show.)

5.  Judges will be awarding points for the following:
    - How well the costume represents a book character
    - Costume originality
    - Stage presence/personality
    - Form and book turned in by deadline (Oct. 28)

6.  All participating students will be recognized.  Top prize winners will receive gift certificates for our December Book Fair!

I hope you enjoy this exciting opportunity.  Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Shara Hoskins
