During my years at Harrison County High School I attended the vocational school and participated in HOSA - Future Health Professionals (Formerly known as Health Occupations Students of America). It was a huge success for me! I was always fascinated by medicine. I knew that I wanted to be a nurse from an early age. HOSA clarified that for me and provided me insight to different choices of the field.

After I graduated from Harrison County in 1999, I attended  Bluegrass Community and Technical College System (BCTCS). I received my associates degree in science, but my heart was still missing something. I felt that I hadn't yet reached my purpose.

I decided to go back to college. In 2011, I graduated from Midway College. I earned an associates degree in nursing.

I am currently the Director of Health Services (D.O.N.) at Cedar Ridge in Cynthiana. My purpose in life is to serve others. My career allows me to fulfill that purpose.

Outside of work, I have three children and a loving husband of 14 years, Rusty. We like to spend time together outside. My family enjoys four-wheeling in the Jeep, working in the garden or just having fun.

Success to me is doing what makes you happy. My dad always said, "If you find a job that makes you happy, you'll never work a day in your life." Success isn't monetary. It's the value of your life. A quote by Albert Schweitzer that I think of often is, "Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful."
